Connect PAVE to your AI assistant

Read your own training record — from your own AI assistant — the same way you'd read it in the app. Nothing changes, signs, books or sends until you tap it yourself.

What this is. The PAVE connector lets your own AI assistant — Claude, or another assistant that supports the Model Context Protocol — read the parts of PAVE that you can already see, once you sign in and tap Allow on PAVE's own page. It is read-only: it cannot sign, endorse, grade, move money, or write anything into a record. Every change in PAVE still happens by your own tap, in the app.

1. What the connector is

PAVE's connector is a read-only doorway into your own training record — the file your CFI or school already keeps in PAVE. Once you connect it, your AI assistant can look things up for you: what's next in your syllabus, whether an airplane is airworthy, when your flight review is due, what the weather looks like at your field, or what's on your calendar this week.

  • Read-only, always. The connector can never sign, endorse, grade, move money, or write anything into your record. It can only read and hand back an answer, a card or a link — your own tap in the app is what writes, exactly as with PAVE's in-app helpers.
  • Only what you can already see. The connector never widens your access. A student connecting it sees only their own record; an instructor sees what an instructor can already see; a school seat sees what a school seat can already see.
  • Only after you sign in and tap Allow. Nothing is shared with your assistant until you authorize the connection yourself, through PAVE's own sign-in — and you can disconnect it at any time from your assistant's own settings.
  • PAVE does not pay for your assistant's thinking. The connector answers your assistant's questions with your own data; it does not dial an AI model on PAVE's own account to do it, so connecting it does not add to PAVE's own bill.

2. Who can use it today

PAVE is currently in a closed beta. The connector is not open to the public yet — it is available only to the people PAVE has already brought onto the app. If you have a PAVE sign-in, the steps below work the same way for you; if you do not yet have one, start with PAVE first.

3. Adding it in Claude

  1. Open Claude and go to Customize.
  2. Choose Connectors, then Add.
  3. Choose Add custom connector.
  4. Name it PAVE and enter the URL https://api.pavecfi.com/mcp.
  5. Choose Connect, sign in to PAVE if asked, and tap Allow on PAVE's own page.

Once connected, ask Claude a question about your PAVE record the same way you'd ask anything else — see Things you can ask below.

4. Other assistants

The connector speaks the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the same open standard Claude uses, at https://api.pavecfi.com/mcp. Any assistant that supports adding a custom MCP connector by URL can add PAVE the same way.

More assistants will be added to this list as PAVE confirms they work the same way.

5. What it can read

The connector reads through the same sixteen tools, whichever assistant you use — each one read-only, each one bound by your own role in PAVE:

6. Things you can ask

7. Sign-in and privacy

  • Connecting goes through PAVE's own sign-in, the same one the app uses — including the second-factor step, for the seats that require it.
  • You can disconnect the PAVE connector at any time from your assistant's own settings (in Claude, under Connectors).
  • Full names, emails, phone numbers and addresses are stripped before anything reaches your assistant, the same scrub PAVE's in-app helpers use — see the Privacy page for exactly what is and is not removed.
